Este hallazgo, publicado en la revista <em>Parasites &amp; Vectors<\/em>, podr\u00eda explicar el reciente<strong> aumento de casos de dengue <\/strong>en el pa\u00eds y representa un gran desaf\u00edo para el control de la <strong>enfermedad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n, liderada por la cient\u00edfica del Conicet <em>Laura Harburguer<\/em>, analiz\u00f3 muestras de <strong>mosquitos de diferentes provincias argentinas <\/strong>y encontr\u00f3 que la <strong>resistencia <\/strong>a los piretroides es un <strong>problema generalizado<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cEl uso excesivo de estos insecticidas ha llevado a la evoluci\u00f3n de resistencia en los mosquitos\u201d<\/em>, explic\u00f3 Harburguer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de esta nueva mutaci\u00f3n, se han identificado <strong>otras dos<\/strong> previamente reportadas que tambi\u00e9n contribuyen a la <strong>resistencia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como respuesta, los investigadores sugieren la<strong> implementaci\u00f3n de estrategias <\/strong>m\u00e1s integrales, incluyendo el <strong>uso de insecticidas alternativos<\/strong> como el pirimifosmetil, a\u00fan no aprobado en Argentina pero recomendado por la <strong>OMS<\/strong>. Harburguer destac\u00f3 la importancia de <strong>no depender \u00fanicamente de insecticidas<\/strong> y combinar estas medidas con otras acciones como el descacharrado y la participaci\u00f3n activa de la comunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cUn manejo integrado del vector, que combine diversas estrategias, es esencial para prevenir futuras epidemias de dengue. Si continuamos bas\u00e1ndonos solo en un tipo de insecticida, corremos el riesgo de enfrentar el mismo problema de resistencia en el futuro\u201d<\/em>, enfatiz\u00f3 Harburguer.
